I believe our homes should support the lives we want to live, not the other way around.

The spaces we remember most rarely stand out because of a sofa or a paint color. We remember how they felt: the warmth of a crowded kitchen, the ease of a well-loved living room, the quiet ritual of morning coffee in a favorite corner.

Those moments have always fascinated me more than trends ever could.

As a Brazilian architect and interior designer, my work has been shaped by the places I've lived and loved, from São Paulo and Madrid to New York, London, and now Austin. Along the way, I developed a deep appreciation for homes that feel collected rather than decorated, layered rather than perfect, and deeply personal rather than designed for photographs.

Before founding Guta Louro Designs Austin, I spent more than a decade working across architecture and interiors in Brazil and the United States, collaborating on projects ranging from private residences to hospitality spaces. That architectural foundation continues to inform my work today, balancing technical rigor with warmth, personality, and livability.

Our studio approaches design much like hospitality: thoughtful, welcoming, and centered around the experience of the people who inhabit the space.

Some clients come to us for a full home transformation. Others simply need clarity, direction, or reassurance before making important decisions. Both are equally valuable.

Because good design isn't about creating a certain look.

It's about creating a home that supports your routines, reflects your story, and makes everyday life feel a little more beautiful.
